SpotSwitcher Privacy Policy

SpotSwitcher is a public PowerShell script and product page from vanRoojen LLC. The script is designed to run in your Azure Cloud Shell session and does not send VM inventory, subscription details, tenant details, credentials, plan files, telemetry, or usage data to vanRoojen LLC.

Product site data

When you visit the SpotSwitcher product pages, the web server and edge proxy may process standard request metadata such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, and basic diagnostic logs. This is used for site security, uptime, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

Script execution data

The SpotSwitcher script runs under your Azure identity in Azure Cloud Shell or a local PowerShell environment. It calls Azure CLI and Azure Resource Manager endpoints to inspect and plan changes to resources you choose. Those Azure calls are governed by your Microsoft Azure account, tenant policies, audit settings, and Microsoft privacy terms.

Plan files are written to your Cloud Shell storage or current working directory. They are not uploaded to vanRoojen LLC by SpotSwitcher.

GitHub and raw script downloads

The source repository and raw script are hosted on GitHub. Requests to GitHub, including downloads from raw.githubusercontent.com, are handled by GitHub and subject to GitHub's own privacy practices.

Support communications

If you email vanRoojen LLC or open a GitHub issue, we receive the information you choose to provide. Do not send secrets, access tokens, private keys, passwords, full subscription IDs, tenant IDs, or sensitive customer data in support requests.
